Real Estate brokers and agents?

I know the market is very slow, but is being an agent still a decent income if you are part time or do not rely on it as your main income?
What is a conservative sales average right now 1 sale/month? 6 sales/year? What can you make on a $250,000 sale commission if you have to split with broker and other agent?

It is not just slow – it is completely non-existent in most areas. In this market you would be extremely lucky to 1 sale/month. Most around here have had NO sales for 6 month to a year.
