Morgage Company about closeing time?
May 27th, 2010 by admin
Their is still a lot that has to be done before closing and everything is being done without a Real Estate agent and all on me.
They are just not answering phone or e-mails and is making me very unhappy with what is happening, would love to hear your suggestions.
I am dealing with the owners no agent at all and this is in Denison,Tx(the house)and loan company is in Plano,Tx
The house has yet to be Appraised yet or had the home inspection done, I am still waiting to hear if I got the loan yet.

If the owner is getting in the way of you doing what you need to do to get the home, such as inspections then you should be able to back out of the contract due to lack of cooperation from the owner. Talk to their agent if you have to the sellers agent stands to lose her/his commission if the home is not sold. Tell the selling agent that you plan on backing out if they don’t cooperate.
You still have a lot of time. VA Loans historically can take a while. Don’t get panicky yet.
Does your mortgage agent have an office? It is very easy to avoid someone on the phone, but a lot more difficult if you show up there. When you call or email or stop by, be polite and civil and don’t get crazy. In this market, everyone needs the money from each and every sale. They will not just blow you and your loan off. But you do deserve to know what is happening. If you go to the office and your mortgage agent continues to avoid you, ask to speak to a supervisor.
Since you have signed the contract, have you had your home inspection? That is about all you have to do at this point if you have signed all the loan documents and given the loan officer everything they have asked for in the way of W2s, tax forms, employment verification. The loan officer will order the appraisal and things will just progress as quickly as they can.
The only other advice I can give you is that if another week goes by and you still haven’t heard from your loan officer and you have not been able to find anything out, go directly to their office, collect whatever documents you have given them and find another mortgage broker.
