Is a career as an real-estate agent a bad decision at the current time?

Estate Agent slow
I know that the current market right now is very slow and was curious that i wouldnt be able to make the money due to the slow down in the housing market. Please help with serious answers. Thank you all for your help and i do appreciate it.

    I’ve been an agent for 35 years….

    Even in a good market your first year or two in Real Estate are usually not that great(it’s extremely difficult and competitive to sell homes, it’s not a get rich scheme but if you are good you will become rich) Anyway realistically you would be very lucky to make even one sale in your first year in todays market.

    I will tell you this, if it’s possible for you to survive through the rough years especially starting out. When the good years come around you will become a rich person.

    It’s never a bad time to take the classes and get your license but don’t quit your day job. Even in a good market, it’s hard to make money in real estate..there’s a LOT of competition.

    In this market unless you have buyers or sellers threw family friends do not plan on making a sale or buy in the next 10 months, so that means monies going out, for fees, advertising, phone calls, etc but no monies coming in
