Me and my friends were planning on renting a house in new hampshire this winter for a weekend to go snowboarding for a few days. The age range is 19-24 about 10 – 14 of us going. We found a nice house but the owner said you have to be 25 to rent a house? is this true? any way around this?

too many people i guess 17 or 18
The owner wants to know his property will be taken care of. Why not have someone’s parents talk to him and give him their information for a security deposit so he has a higher level of trust.
Legally you can rent at 18, but age is not a protected class. If he will not rent to anyone under 25 that is HIS rule not general law, but it is also not illegal.
If that is his rule, then there is really no way around it. You cannot force him to rent to you since he is not breaking the law.
Depending on the # of bedrooms, that many people would probably be breaking the occupancy laws any way.
Most Vacation rentals require that the tenants be at least 25 and in many cases require that any people under 21 be legally related to the persons signing the rental agreement. There are no laws preventing this, as it isn’t a form of illegal discrimination. In fact some places have laws limiting the number of unrelated adults that can reside in a single domicile.
