   To claim the housing benefits for your separated life is a policy matter of your Govt. However, you may get in touch with the family laws and follow the prescribed course of action. Good Luck

   And the rate of housing benefit would be the same all over the world, of course.

   Move back home with your parents, you are way too clueless to be out there on your own.

   You need to supply more information for your question to be answered.

   Housing benefit is means tested. so it would depend on your income. Are you both liable for rent on the separate properties you are living in?

   If say for example, you are living in a rented property, and you Husband is living elsewhere because he is working away from home, his income will apply to your household.

   This link will allow you to check the maximum amount you would be allowed for a private rented property for all councils in the Uk.

   If you are under 25 and claiming as a single person you will be restricted to a single room rate.
