The doctors need to certify the man needs 24/7 care. Call Social Security, or check and see if the mayors office in your area has a person who deals with the disabled. UNfortunately. My Mom has Alzheimers and lives in an Assisted Living/Secured site facility and it costs over $6K a year! Even if I were not working FT, I could not care for her as it would call for 24 hr oversight by a professional. Thankfully my Dad left her with enough income for us to pay for this service, although in July '08 we had to move her due to the previous facility going up to $8K per month! I TRY not to worry about what would happen if this happened to me, as I do NOT have this kind of financial resource as she has.
