Depends on how much money is coming into your home.
Housing benefit is based on your income and your dependents if you have any……when you move into accomodation in any area, you will need to collect a form from the local benefit agency, at the local town hall usually. Your income and the income of your girlfriend will be taken into account. As you are a couple, and you are working part time, your girlfriend will no longer be able to claim income support in her own right, but, as you are only working part time and at college , and your girlfriend is incapacitated, you may be able to get income support as a couple. Your calculation of housing benefit and council tax will then be based on that income.
